29 Rational Design and Optimization of Soft Materials

Monday, November 16, 2020: 8:00 AM - 9:00 AM
Thermodynamics and Transport Properties (01A) (PreRecorded+)

Description:
The session invites broad contributions where theoretical, computational, and experimental approaches are used to design or optimize soft materials with targeted structure and/or properties. Approaches can range from the modification of thermodynamic driving forces (bulk, interfacial, anisotropic interactions) to the application of design of experiment methodologies to systematic changes of molecular building blocks to produce hierarchical structure. Examples of model systems are macromolecules, colloids, and composite materials.
