757 Integrating Municipal, Food, and Industrial Waste into Biorefineries

Friday, November 20, 2020: 8:00 AM - 9:00 AM
Sustainable Engineering Forum (23) (PreRecorded+)

Description:
Research presented in this session investigate the utilization of municipal and industrial waste streams, such as wastewater, and food processing and agricultural wastes as feedstocks for the production of fuels and chemicals. These presentations describe biological and thermochemical processes to recover the energy and carbon from these wastes and transform them cost effectively into valuable products. Presentations also describe techno-economic, life cycle analysis, and supply chain modeling for the transformation of selected wastes into value added chemicals and energy.
