These sessions seek papers within the scope of particle engineering and material sciences of active pharmaceutical ingredients (small, medium and large molecules) and excipients to enable pharmaceutical formulation design and development. Abstracts related to novel process designs to achieve product specifications, methods to understand and manipulate particle attributes and scale up of particle engineering are of interest. Advancements in experimental, theoretical, and computational tools to characterize and predict solid properties are considered, as are particle engineering approaches for amorphous drug products. Case studies of material science to drive drug substance and drug product process designs are also welcomed. Submissions in sessions I-III are all considered for oral presentations.
