50 Biomass Upgrading I: Deoxygenation and Oxidation

Monday, November 16, 2020: 8:00 AM - 9:00 AM
Catalysis and Reaction Engineering Division (20) (PreRecorded+)

Description:
This session focuses on reaction fundamentals, novel catalytic materials, and conversion and catalytic technologies for converting biomass or its derivatives into fuels and chemicals via deoxygenation and oxidation reactions. Topics include, but are not limited to: experimental and theoretical studies for characterization, reactivity, micro- and macrokinetic studies of biomass catalytic conversion, catalytic materials for biomass processing, catalytic technologies for biomass pretreatment and upgrading, and catalytic conversion of lignocellulose, starch, sugars, and lipids to fuels and chemicals, among others
