Over the last decade, three-dimensional bioprinting has offered great versatility to fabricate biomimetic volumetric tissues that are both structurally and functionally relevant to their native counterparts. The technology enables precise control over the composition, spatial distribution, and architecture of the bioprinted constructs, facilitating recapitulation of the delicate shapes and structures of targeted organs and tissues. This talk will discuss our recent efforts on developing various cytocompatible and cell-instructive bioink formulations, as well as their processing methods, for the fabrication of engineered tissues towards regenerative medicine and tissue models towards therapeutics screening, using a series of established or customized bioprinting strategies.
