As the new climate system concluded in the Paris Agreement of the United Nations is implemented in 2021, it is expected that countries around the world will establish various climate change policies to achieve the greenhouse gas emissions target. In particular, to reduce the emission of CO2, which is a major cause of climate change, research on CCS technology that directly captures CO2 emitted from industrial sites such as power generation, cement, and steel petroleum has been actively conducted. This study focuses how to effectively integrate membrane-based hybrid systems for CO2 capture process in cement process. For the CO2 capture process, stand-alone systems based on membrane and cryogenic technology are analyzed, which are then compared with hybrid systems. A case study is carried out in hybrid systems to integrate two technologies and evaluate the effect of hybrid option. Then, the technical feasibility of the hybrid capture process is assessed at the level of conceptual design.
