The change in the structure and rheology of coating systems during drying plays an important role in the appearance and physical properties of the resulting films. It is therefore useful to monitor the drying process and the evolution of the rheological behavior of coatings simultaneously. In this study, we utilized an immobilization cell to apply the aforementioned in situ rheological measurements on various coatings and to provide insight into the drying behavior of these systems.
