Description:
This session will focus on metabolic and cell engineering for strain development for production of natural products, including functional food ingredients, flavor and fragrance compounds, specialty chemicals, prebiotics and probiotics, and nutritional lipids, proteins and other compounds for food, feed, and fertilizer. Papers describing advancements in research tools including novel strain construction, directed evolution, high-throughput screening, and assay development are also welcomed.
