For many faculty members, tenure allows them the opportunity to apply for a sabbatical. A sabbatical is a means for faculty members to achieve professional growth and development that will simultaneously enhance the intellectual capacity of their institution when they return. In this talk, suggestions for pursuing international sabbatical opportunities will be discussed. In particular, an overview of the Fulbright Scholar Program and tips on how to successfully apply for these fellowships will be provided.
