Hematite has been studied extensively as an oxygen carrier for chemical looping combustion. This study investigates a Canadian hematite under reduction and re-oxidation multi-cycle experiments at a variety of conditions including temperature, space velocity, cycle length, and number of cycles. Post-run characterization is presented to identify which property changes may be most strongly linked to change in performance.
