Description:
AIChE is playing a leading role globally in promoting science, technology and innovation that define the modern chemical engineering discipline. As demonstrated in the rapid increase on the number of recent international attendees (about 25% of the total number of registered attendees) and receptions hosted by universities from the Asia Pacific region (including those from Japan, China, Taiwan, Singapore), AIChE Annual Meetings are being shaped as the most important international platform for publicity and promotion of ChE educational institutions and industry partners for the recruitment of faculty members, students and technical staff. This invited paper session is jointly hosted by the AIChE International Committee and Particle Technology Forum to showcase some promising research activities in the Asia Pacific region, specifically in the theme areas of fluidization, particle processing and characterization, particle simulations (DEM, CFD, multi-scale modeling), rheology of particulate and multiphase flows, electrostatics, nanoparticles, and applications of particle technology to the subject areas of energy, material synthesis & processing, and environmental sustainability.
