452 Applications of Materials Science in Pharmaceutical Process Development

Wednesday, November 11, 2015: 8:30 AM - 11:00 AM
Ballroom D (Salt Palace Convention Center)

Description:
Material science understanding is a key factor to consider in drug substance and drug product process development. The material properties for the API, excipients, drug product intermediates and final tablets can influence the process and product performance. This session focuses on the application of material science to guide drug substance and drug product development. Of particular interest is work related to new measurement techniques to elucidate key material attributes impacting performance or novel uses of material property data to gain further process understanding.
