Monday, November 9, 2015: 3:15 PM - 5:45 PM
355E (Salt Palace Convention Center)
Description:
This session focuses on formation of pollutants, e.g. nitrogen oxides, sulfur oxides, trace metals and soot, during combustion as well as mitigation of pollutants. Technical presentations will include experimental and modeling studies of combustion processes such as oxy-combustion, gas turbine combustion etc. Topics covered will include, but not limited to, kinetics of pollutant formation, measurements of pollutants, developing new models to predict pollutant chemistry and emissions. Pollutants formed from various fuels, e.g. coal, natural gas, syngas and biomass will be of interest.
