251B (Salt Palace Convention Center)
Description:
This session features in invited and contributed talks on the science and engineering of templated or self-assembled nanostructured/nanoscale materials, providing expert perspectives and cover new developments in molecular sieving materials, mesostructured materials and thin films, metal oxide nanostructures, and metallic nanoparticles. The applications broadly include sustainable chemical processing, clean/renewable energy, and new photonic/electronic devices. The talks will highlight key underlying issues:(1) Fundamental aspects of self- and directed-assembly (2) Control over composition, morphology, and nanostructure (3) Synthesis mechanisms (4) Structure-function relationships.
