644 Fundamentals of Hydrogen Production

Thursday, November 12, 2015: 8:30 AM - 11:00 AM
255F (Salt Palace Convention Center)

Description:
This session seeks advances in hydrogen production by novel methods that reduce or eliminate reliance on fossil fuels. The topic includes thermochemical cycles and other methods of hydrogen production with emphasis on reaction, separation and reactive separation processes, including reactive distillation, that are either necessary for reactions within the cycles or that improve efficiency or operability of the cycles. Contributions related to water-splitting thermochemical cycles, natural gas based hydrogen production, as well as other hydrogen production methods, including photoelectrochemical, and photobiological are encouraged.
