ABET Update

ABET Update:

One of the primary responsibilities of the AIChE Education and Accreditation Committee is to coordinate the inspection and evaluation of chemical engineering programs for ABET.  The committee also works closely with AIChE and ABET in setting and implementing accreditation policy.   This presentation will briefly review the ABET structure and AIChE’s connection, summarize recent accreditation results, discuss the recommended changes to Criterion 3 and 5, and share some insight pertinent to chemical engineering accreditation visits.
