The strategic relationship between Chemical Engineering and Administration:

Application to the Energy and Sustainability

Generally Chemical engineering and administration themes are not treated like joint applications that could improve the processes. It is not only in the financial area on having reduced costs or the environmental one on having produced less pollutant load or having reduced the energetic expenses, but also the strategic relation that exists between these two fields that allow to be applied to the efficient energetically and sustainable globally developments on having worked as a whole.

This poster shows the relation that exists between these two big areas and how these are related in common topics but with different connotation and application. There appear simple examples of this relation as well as offers of administrative theory understanding from chemical processes and vice versa.

Besides how a chemical engineer can be a good administrator bearing in mind the wide vision of the processes and its relation with the administration, the reason of  this combination brings with it the efficient and effective use of the resources and how it can improve the global sustainability of a process, a plant or anything.

At the end are presented recommendations and success stories that support the proposed ideas.
