Pharmaceutical creation is plagued with inefficiencies. The technologies used are decades old, if not older, and the current approach to process development is to make incremental changes as opposed to quantum leaps. This is starting to change with the incorporation of new approaches, such as continuous manufacturing and the incorporation of developability and manufacturability in the discovery process. In this presentation, we discuss new technologies to change the efficiency of pharmaceutical creation by integrating discovery, development, and manufacturing.
