Phase-Portrait of Complex Kinetic Systems

Session 01A00

Salt Lake City, Utah

Nov. 8-13, 2015

James Wei, Princeton University

In a complex kinetic system with many components, the phase-portrait is the global qualitative description of the totality of the reaction paths of the system.  It can be used to analyze and to optimize selectivity and product values.  The angle of the slow eigenvector and the direction for the convergence of reaction paths are dominant for the best operational and research strategies.
