A major challenge in the management and delivery of academic-industrial collaborations is the alignment of expectations of both the academic and industrial partners. As the number of partners increases, the scale and diversity of the collaboration can present hurdles to successful implementation of the collaboration.
This presentation will discuss some of these challenges with reference to the Synthesis and Solid State Pharmaceutical Center (SSPC) which has 9 funded academic research organisations and 22 industrial partners. Some strategies to successfully address these challenges will be discussed, from both an academic and an industrial perspective.
