Miniature glucose/O2 biofuel cells are of particular interest because they may power implanted medical devices. However, numerous challenges remain to overcome before envisioning such applications
In this talk, I will report our last progress directed to the search of improved biocatalyst for the O2 reduction as well as the search for adequate electrode materials allowing fast electron transfer and diffusion of substrate. I will also discuss our recent achievement towards implantation in mices and toxicity issues, which are generally raise with the use of Osmium complexes.
