The Separations Reserach Program was estabilished in the 1980's by Dr. James Fair to provide research capabilities through a joint university/industry effort. This paper will dsicuss several of the research efforts conducted within SRP (Now PSTC which is lead by Dr. Bruce Eldridge) with an emphasis on column packing research and how that research has been applied successfully in commercial technology.
