Description:
This session is targeted for discussions of the latest advancements in design and synthesis of green consumer products with decreased toxicity, and more sustainable usage and manufacturability. The ingredients of interest to this session are greener solvents, polymer building blocks, surfactants from renewable sources, bio-catalysis, fragrances, and bulk chemicals. The consumer products that reduce consumption of resources (water, energy) and minimize environmental emissions are also of interest, such as washers, driers, and refrigerators. Specific industry sectors of interest to this session are pharmaceuticals, CPG (cleaning, cosmetics, and food), textile, appliances and their raw material suppliers.
