121 Control and Optimization of Particle and Solids Production

Contributions are sought in the general area of control and optimization of particle and solids production processes such as formation, precipitation, crystallization, agglomeration and granulation, milling and grinding, polymerization, spray drying, and colloidal processes. Topics of interest include but not limited to: 1) kinetics-based applications to design and optimization, 1) model reduction methods and their application to control and optimization, 2) real-time optimization, 3) simulation-based optimization and 4) regulatory and model-predictive control to optimize distributed variables. Preference given but limited to unit-operation optimization and control.
