591 Recovery of Value-Added Co-Products from Biorefinery Residuals and Effluents

Description:
This session is accepting paper abstracts dealing with technologies on the recovery and/or reuse of co-products of biorefinery processes for further value-added applications. Examples include but are not limited to the following: (1) lignin, carbohydrates, and extractives from biomass hydrolysis residues; (2) coal ash; (3) biorefinery wastewaters and solid wastes such as fibers, spent solids, and distillery slops; (5) fermentation residues; (6) pyrolysis biochar; and (7) digestates from anaerobic digestion.
