621 Chromatographic Separations and SMB

Thursday, November 20, 2014: 8:30 AM
310 (Hilton Atlanta)
Description:
This session focuses on the use of batch and continuous chromatography processes in producing chemicals, petrochemicals, bio-chemicals, pharmaceuticals, foods, and clean water among other uses. Contributions on the most recent advances in the theory and applications of single and multi-column processes including simulated moving bed (SMB) and its variants, hybrid processes for gas and liquid separations are invited. Talks dealing with development of novel process configurations, improvements of existing ones, control, optimization and experimental studies, novel applications, reduction of organic solvents, reducing power consumption for separations are of particular interest.
