659 Thermodynamics of Energy Systems
659 Thermodynamics of Energy Systems
Thursday, November 20, 2014: 8:30 AM
Crystal Ballroom B/E (Hilton Atlanta)
Description:
This session seeks submissions for papers describing experimental, simulation, and theoretical studies devoted to the thermodynamics of energy generation, storage, conversion and transmission. Of particularly interest are works aimed at improved efficiency in these areas as well as reduced environmental impact. Example topics include the use of ultra supercritical steam in power generation, the development and study of novel fuel storage materials, the use of thermodynamic principles in controlling the release of fuel from such materials (e.g. hydrates and hydrate-like), and carbon sequestration.
