374 Composites Science

Tuesday, November 18, 2014: 3:15 PM
International 3 (Marriott Marquis Atlanta)
Description:
This session invites contributions from all areas of composite materials science, focusing on experiments and/or simulations for a better understanding of structure-property relationships in composite materials. The multicomponent materials of interest include those containing polymers, ceramics, metals, cermets, semiconductors, dendrimers, ionic liquids, nanocarbons, or any new material designed for application in the energy, environment, biomedical, or structural engineering fields. Papers related to dispersion and interfacial aspects in nanocomposites, thermodynamic and transport properties, microstructure determination, micromechanical models, and materials with interesting mechanical, thermal, optoelectronic, or biological behaviors, are also sought.
