We present a methane-based process for the production chemicals and power via the utilization of steam methane reformer. Computer aided simulation via UNISIM are used to provide a sufficiently accurate application of the reactions that take place. Economical analysis provides interesting findings in support of the new design in which the chemicals produced as co product is utilized as a new source of revenue. Alternative designs are still being tested.
