This study presents the experimental investigation of the promotional effects of WO3 on the bimetallic PtPd/WO3-OMC catalysts for formic acid oxidation. CV measurement of Pd/WO3-OMC exhibits 15 % higher anodic current activity than that of Pd/OMC catalyst while the peak potential is also shifted negatively. In the Pt-Pd catalyst samples, the small addition of Pt improves the performances of PdPt/WO3-OMC catalyst significantly.  The atomic ratio2 for Pd/Pt catalysts, displays best catalytic efficiency, which shows current activity 5.2 times higher than that of Pd1Pt2/WO3-OMC catalyst. It also shows persistent activities in extended period of runs with the increase of carbon monoxide (CO) tolerance effects. BET surface area analysis shows that WO3 modification enhances the surface characteristics of OMC with pore size slightly decreased.  Many techniques have used to characterize the synthesized catalysts.
