In this research, steady state and dynamic simulation of atmospheric distillation unit of Shiraz oil refinery have been done. To verify obtained data by simulation, experimental ASTMD86 curves can be used.

Pump-around simulation is of great importance in simulation. Atmospheric unit of Shiraz refinery has two pump-arounds. One of which is used to preheat crude oil entering into the Tower. Since Feed temperature has a considerable effect on both product composition and heat into the tower, three different simulations were presented and the best practical simulation was chosen.
