Description:
The cellular microenvironment is critical for controlling cell and tissue function. This session explores the use of engineered microenvironments in the control of stem cell differentiation, biomimetic tissue development, and tissue repair and regeneration. Examples may include gradient patterns, dynamic mechanical loading, spatially-localized cues, temporal signals, mechanical cues, and other design strategies for directing cellular response.
