470 Bioprocessing and Biomass to Biofuels and Value-Added Bioproducts II
470 Bioprocessing and Biomass to Biofuels and Value-Added Bioproducts II
Wednesday, November 6, 2013: 12:30 PM
Union Square 20 (Hilton)
Description:
The session will focus on converting biomass into biofuels, bio-based chemicals, or bio-based intemediates for synthethic polymers. Process steps could include biomass preprocessing; biomass physical or chemical pretreatment; bio-catalytical transformations; bioreactor engineering; product separations; waste treatment; power generatons; etc. Any technology advncement involving reduction of bioprocessing costs could also serve the purpose. Advancement of process technologies of significant industrial importance or having high commercialization potential is preferred.
