131 Ceramics for Gas Separations and Membrane Reactors
131 Ceramics for Gas Separations and Membrane Reactors

Description:
This session invites talks in multiple areas of ceramics research for gas separations or membrane reactor applications. Porous ceramics such as zeolites or mesoporous carbon offer a combination of tunable pore sizes with high thermal and chemical stability, while dense mixed ionic-electronic conducting electroceramic membranes provide high permselectivity for oxygen or hydrogen transport. Lastly, electroceramic membranes enable multiple membrane reactor applications, ranging from solid-oxide fuel cells to electrolysis systems to membrane reactors.
