54 Special Session to Celebrate Tom O'Brien's Career Long Accomplishments

Monday, October 29, 2012: 8:30 AM
Conference C (Omni )
Description:
Dr. Thomas O’Brien has provided leadership in the development of computational fluid dynamics capabilities for heavily-loaded multiphase flow. He was a key figure in the development of the MFIX CFD code at NETL. This open-source code is currently used by hundreds of researchers worldwide in academia, national labs and industry. This session will be accepting papers honoring Tom's contributions to the theoretical and numerical aspects of the simulation of fluid-particle systems.
