121 Workshop: What Every Graduating Engineer Should Know About Process Safety

Description:
The focus of this workshop is identifying, discussing and practicing the principal objectives for process safety education at the undergraduate level. Four panel members will each present a learning objective. A small problem will be posed to the audience to solve to provide additional focus on the objective. A short discussion will follow. The panel members invited to lead the discussion are: Dan Crowl, Bruce Vaughen, John Champion and Colin Howat. The panel experience ranges from full time focus in academia to full time focus in industry. The workshop is intended to assist faculty in developing process safety course content to meet the new ABET Guidelines and to prepare students to practice effectively in industry.
