Reactions In near-Critical and Supercritical Fluids

Thursday, October 20, 2011: 12:30 PM
200 H (Minneapolis Convention Center)

Description:
This session focuses on new experimental and theoretical investigations of chemical reactions and reaction engineering that occur within supercritical or high-pressure media, including near-critical fluids and gas-expanded liquids. Some areas of interest are homogeneous and heterogeneous catalytic reactions, biphasic systems, innovative reaction/separation schemes which take advantage of the variable solvent power of SCFs, and continuous reactions in high-pressure media.
