The session invites abstracts associated with the development of biomaterials that are capable of sensing and responding to changes in the environment. This session broadly encompasses the design, synthesis, and characterization of systems where the development of a biomaterial is germane to the its ability to detect and respond to environmental cues. Both experimental and theoretical works are welcome.
