Integrated API and Drug Product Development

Monday, October 17, 2011: 8:30 AM
Conrad A (Hilton Minneapolis)

Description:
API and drug product development often occur along parallel, yet interacting, timelines. A balance often needs to be found between what API properties (particle size distribution, crystal form, etc...) are optimum for the drug product and what can be efficiently produced. IN some cases drug substance is used as a drug product, where integration of API and drug product development plays a vital role. This session seeks contributions of examples of the interaction between active pharmaceutical ingredient and drug product development. Both actual case studies or theoretical frameworks are welcome
