Description:
This session is dedicated to the research and development of polymer processes. Differences and challenges in design and scale-up of polymer production and contrast with small molecule production are highlighted. Nuances of how to design and control the process to meet the desired product specifications are discussed, and are appropriate topics. Of particular interest is the modeling and experimental work in polymer reaction engineering modeling, interaction of the processing technique and operating parameters with the polymer properties and vice-versa for the inverse problem of process design.
