Robust design and implementation of the US Energy Infrastructure will require fundamental understanding of nano scale materials and their processing. This paper will examine Nanotechnology  materials and processes that can be used for highly reliable wind turbine blades fabrication, Advanced batteries and energy storage devices and components of the Smart Grid System such as novel highly conductive carbon nano tube cables and sensors.
