The MixAlco Process, which uses lignocellulosic feedstocks is compared to the more widely know simultaneous saccharification and fermentation process. Conclusions are drown as for which process is best applied from technological and economical point of view. In order to obtain meaningful comparisons, both fermentatios are carried out experimentally to determine actual yields for each process.
