The coatings application area is one of critical strategic importance for high throughput research (HTR) at The Dow Chemical Company (Dow). HTR is being used to accelerate the design and development of new and differentiated products by facilitating the exploration and understanding of many more experimental variables than could be achieved with traditional approaches. It is enabled by an integrated set of advanced capabilities in both hardware and software. This presentation will focus on the advanced computational intelligence modeling and analysis techniques that are being used at Dow to provide insight into the critical raw-material physical properties, chemical structures, and formulation interactions that drive performance in architectural coatings.
