Exhibit Hall B (Minneapolis Convention Center)
The poster presentation consists of*comparing terminal velocity and drag coefficient data from our experiments with literature correlations/theoretical relations for terminal settling conditions under no wall effects(large column dia data) *comparing data collected under strong wall effects with literature correlations. Our final data of terminal velocities would include non-spherical particles of shapes of cubes, cones, ellipsoids, cylinders of various cross-sections(circular,square,triangular,rectangular) and plates. The particle materials are metals, glass and plastics.Five Newtonian liquidsand several concentrations of CMC solutions and five glass columns are being used.
