A brief history about the American Electrophoresis Society will be presented, including important milestones such as the 10th anniversary of holding the AES annual meeting in conjunction with the AIChE annual meeting.

An introduction to the first Award Session of the American Electrophoresis Society in Honor of Dr. Kelvin Lee will be presented as well.
