Starting with high FFA waste feedstocks, a process was developed and scaled to commercial operations.  This paper will survey the learnings of the effort by describing the chemical engineering techniques applied to solve the challenges presented to the team. The effort was successful in scaling the technology from bench (5 mls) to commercial.  Many lessons were learned on the journey to producing and selling ASTM 6751 product for the market in truckload quantities.
