As problem solvers, chemical engineers routinely create intellectual assets, including patentable inventions, publications, trade secrets, etc. But many chemical engineers overlook the opportunities and threats provided by intellectual property law, and fail to appreciate the implications of the digital era on intellectual asset strategy. In this session, we will provide some basic guidance as well as explore emerging strategies and tools involving intellectual assets in the digital era.
