This special session in honor of Dr. Fred Heineken, former Biotechnology Program Director at the National Science Foundation who has made tremendous contributions to the bioengineering/biotechnology research in the US academic institutions in the past 20 years, will feature several speakers mainly from the academics to highlight their research impacted by the support from Heineken's program.
