The session invites papers that investigate novel approaches in the area of biorefining and bioprocessing from biomass based sources. The scope includes fundamentally new approaches to biomass conversion and process development based on those approaches, as well as integration of traditional chemical engineering techniques within the integrated biorefinery concept (such as process and heat integration). Submissions from both academia as well as industrial practitioners are encouraged.
