Solubility of a Chitosan, a biodegradable polymer in supercritical carbon dioxide, with or without entrainers, is studied using cloud point measurement and a dynamic system. The low molecular polymers achieved through higher degree of deacetilation are shown to be soluble at near ambient conditions. The results are modeled using SAFT.
